Connect your device

Choose what to share. A full Health export is not needed for beta setup.

Start with your invited account and beta app

New here? Request beta access first. A request does not create an account. Michael confirms your setup and sends the invitation or installation instructions.

  1. iPhone/iPad: install or update the EraVyr build assigned to you in TestFlight. In EraVyr, open Connections → Connect Apple Health.
  2. Android: use the EraVyr beta installation supplied by Michael, then open its Health Connect connection screen.
  3. Complete browser sign-in with your invited email, press the sign-in button, and explicitly approve pairing this device. Return to EraVyr and choose Check pairing approval if it is still waiting.
  4. Choose supported Health permissions, then use Check connection & sync. Check Last accepted upload and each reading’s date. Browser sign-in alone does not connect the native app.

Current iOS reader: steps, resting heart rate, HRV and workouts; it does not read Apple Health sleep, ECG, menstrual-cycle data or routes. Only completed days are eligible, and a later sync must deliver them.

No completed-day readings? Check for an earlier day in the phone’s Health store, review your chosen permissions, then retry sync. An empty result cannot tell us whether a category is unavailable or unshared. Background delivery depends on the phone’s scheduler and is not guaranteed.

Upload says needs_review? Incoming records may differ from preserved history. Check result counts and dates, and report the installed build and exact message to Michael.

No wearable? Record a check-in. Calm, Clarity, Connection and Spark are direct self-ratings; HRV is not required for Calm.

Connect Oura directly

The optional direct connector can request Oura nightly HRV, sleep duration, steps and active energy after you authorize your own Oura account. Oura does not export HRV through its standard Apple Health integration. A direct connection works with either an iPhone or Android.

  1. Sign in to the EraVyr account that should receive your data.
  2. Choose Connect Oura, sign in to your own Oura account, and approve Daily summaries. Use the same browser throughout.
  3. Return here and choose Sync Oura now, then refresh your dashboard tiles.

EraVyr requests Daily summaries only. It saves selected measurements, not Oura readiness or activity scores. Gen3 and later rings require an active Oura membership for API access. Sync your ring with the Oura app so its latest readings reach Oura Cloud.

This is a beta connector. Verify a successful sync and dated readings after authorization; a connection screen alone does not establish that data arrived. We check authorized accounts hourly, covering up to 35 completed days. Missing values stay missing. Oura HRV keeps its own source and reference, separate from Apple Watch HRV.

Checking Oura connection…

Disconnect stops future collection and removes the saved connection credentials. Imported history remains in your account.

Using the iPhone TestFlight beta? Start in the EraVyr app and choose its Apple Health connection. Review the supported categories on Apple’s permission screen and share only what you want. Sleep is not read by the current native iOS connector. For Oura HRV, use the direct Oura connection above.
Using the Android beta? Open EraVyr's Health Connect screen and choose the categories to share there. You do not need a separate export or paid helper app for normal beta setup.

Check what your phone already has

For a phone Health connection, check which supported readings are actually present before troubleshooting sync. Direct Oura uses Oura Cloud instead and does not require Apple Health sharing.

📱 On an iPhone

  1. Open the Health app (white icon, red heart).
  2. Tap Browse at the bottom.
  3. Check these three, one at a time, and note whether each has recent numbers or is empty:
    • Activity → Steps
    • Sleep
    • Heart → Heart Rate Variability

On Android, open the Health Connect app and look at the same three.

What you found tells you what to do

Steps only.
Sleep + HRV empty
Only steps are present. Other categories may be unsupported, unshared or not yet recorded. Check the sharing switch below, then use the EraVyr app.
Steps + sleep, but
HRV empty, on a Garmin
Garmin’s standard Apple Health route does not export HRV. The EraVyr app cannot read a category Garmin has not shared. See the Garmin note.
All three empty No readings are visible in those categories. Check device support and sharing below, or begin with a self-rating check-in.
Health-store data is only the first check. The current connector must also support the category, your chosen permissions must allow it, and a completed-day upload must reach EraVyr. Sleep visible in Apple Health is not read by the current native iOS connector.
⚙️ Turn on your watch's sharing (only if something was empty)

Give it a few minutes, then check the Health app again. Numbers showing up? You're set.

Advanced option: manually import an entire Apple Health export
Privacy: Export All Health Data may include sensitive categories such as menstrual-cycle records. Only use this option if you intend to share the complete archive with EraVyr. It is not required to connect the iPhone beta.

Manual import

Send your Health file

  1. Open the Health app → tap your photo or initials, top-right.
  2. Scroll to the bottom → Export All Health Data → Export. It takes a minute.
  3. Choose Save to Files and remember where you put it.
  4. Back in Eravyr, go to "Or import a file" on your dashboard and pick it.

Supported historical readings can provide context sooner. Duplicate supported records are skipped; conflicting or revised records may require review. Check the import receipt and dates rather than assuming every record was accepted.

Already have a Health Auto Export file? Eravyr takes those too — both the .csv it exports and a full Apple .zip. Just pick the file the same way.

Optional legacy automatic import

Only worth doing if Step 1 showed real data. An app called Health Auto Export can send your numbers every day without you thinking about it.

It costs money, so check first: the app installs free, but the automatic sending is a paid feature (there's a 7-day trial). It can only send what's already in your Health app — so if Step 1 came up empty, fix the sharing switch before paying for anything. Manual imports are a separate option and do not have identical category support to the native connector.

Your connect code (only needed for the automatic setup — keep it private):

📱 iPhone — automatic setup, step by step
  1. Install Health Auto Export from the App Store.
  2. Open it, add a new Automation, choose REST API.
  3. In the URL box paste this:
    https://app.eravyr.com/api/ingest/apple-auto
  4. For Format, pick JSON. (You don't need to know what that means — just choose it.)
  5. Add a Header: name it X-Eravyr-Key, and paste your connect code as the value.
  6. Turn on Steps, Sleep Analysis and Heart Rate Variability.
  7. Set it to run once a day. Done.
🤖 Android — automatic setup, step by step
  1. In your device app, enable Health Connect for the categories it supports. Check that readings actually appear in Health Connect; category support varies by device and app.
  2. Install HC Webhook and let it read Health Connect.
Open it in the Play Store →
Use that link rather than searching. The same app is listed as “HC Webhook,” “Health Connect Webhook” and “Health Webhook” depending where you look, so searching by name often finds nothing.
  3. Add a webhook. In the URL box paste:
    https://app.eravyr.com/api/ingest/health-connect
  4. Add a header: name X-Eravyr-Key, value = your connect code.
  5. Turn on steps, sleep and heart_rate_variability.
  6. Run it once a day. Done.

Health-store availability is not connector support

This table describes possible source routes. It is not a guarantee that the current EraVyr native reader imports every category. In particular, Apple Health sleep is not read by the current iOS connector. Check the installed version and accepted reading dates.

Garmin on iPhone: Garmin Connect can share supported measurements, but its standard Apple Health integration does not provide HRV. If you also use Oura, connect Oura directly above. Calm is your self-rating; it does not require HRV. Keep readings attached to their original source rather than copying one type of HRV into another.

Pet readings and experimental Fi setup — restricted family pilot, separate from human tiles. Native setup exists, but first native authorization/upload and unattended collection remain unverified. This is not a generally available, officially supported Fi integration.

Where does your data go?

Apple Health and Health Connect use your device → your phone → EraVyr. A direct Oura connection uses your ring → the Oura app → Oura Cloud → EraVyr, after you authorize access. We do not use a third-party data broker.
